As part of this role, you will:
- Provides friendly, courteous and professional service at all times to all patients, visitors, co-workers, and leaders to Provide an Exceptional Experience to Everyone, Every Time.
- Providing quality Comprehensive Eye Care.
- Triage patients and give brief description of presenting problems meeting all documentation requirements
- Prepare patient charts for visit with Provider.
- Maintain exam rooms.
- Perform preliminary tests to assist Doctor with eye exam and record on correct exam.
- Assist Doctor with exam procedures when indicated.
- Perform additional testing when ordered by doctor.
- Read and interpret spectacle and contact lens prescriptions.
- Fit and measure frames on patient for proper size.
- Track spectacle Rx orders and frame inventory.
- Dispense glasses to patient.
- Prepare & repair eyeglasses.
- Order and dispense contact lenses by Doctor's prescription (where applicable).
What you need to bring to this role:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year experience in in Optometric. Ophthalmic, or Medical office preferred
- Certification at one of the following levels: COA, COT, COMT, CPO, CPOA, CPO is preferred
- A valid Government issued photo ID
- Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency required
